Bio

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California. I have been playing piano since I was six and saxophone since middle school. It was not until high school that I found my love for jazz. At Jesuit High School in Carmichael, California I joined the jazz band as the first tenor saxophone chair and held this position for all four of my years. While I continued to demonstrate my passion for music through performance, I also demonstrated through leadership and authority. My directors looked to me as a role model for the other students to follow and I held that standard to give others a reason to keep pushing and finding ways to make our ensemble as a whole improve.

After a couple years I began editing different projects of my own for fun. Each project I finished pushed me to create even more and after taking an english course on film I realized this could be something I could pursue. After my four years in high school I changed states and attended Loyola University in New Orleans. Studying jazz as a bachelors of music major and soon minoring in filmmaking.

I had the chances to learn about the business of filmmaking, the process of producing, directing, and shooting a film, and even many opportunities to edit different arrays of works. Such as newsreels, interviews, and promo videos.

When I reached my last year, I knew what I wanted to continue doing was film and media while still continuing my musical studies. I am looking to grow in my work and absorb as much knowledge as I can to help myself progress to the destination I want to get to. A destination of seeing myself in an eeditng room surrounded by other professionals as we tackle a new project.
